The Truth About Cars

TTAC is an interesting place. I started working with the editor Bertrel Schmidt, who by all accounts was a terrible person, but I never saw it. He made a lot of enemies, but he was always very patient and took effort to mentor me. Then it was Jack Baruth, another mentor who became a friend and played guitar at my retirement. We spent 6 months planning a race together, but the fates aren’t having any of it. I did get to drive the car we planned, but Jack had to sit out. We finished 2nd in class and 4th overall. Then briefly it was Derrik Kriendlier, who was unceremoniously removed by Vertical Scope and replaced with Mark Stevenson. I have spoken with Mark a few times and I genuinely like him. He is also the first one to actually pay me from TTAC. But the great challenge I am having is enough interesting things to write about. Its still a good site with some very good writing, this may or may not be some of it…
